New Belt for the year
So i unpacked my bike from a long cold sleep from the off season. got her insured and set out on my maiden voyage of 2012, got her some fresh gas, took her for a rip through the back roads of surrey to clear the cobwebs out.
well..............all it took is a 2 - 3 shift and poof!!!!!! belt on the road.
So mental note to everyone, check your belts!!!!!!!! especially if she has been sitting for the winter.
And props to waylon, it would have sicked my face if i had to push my beast home to newton from the bottom of scott road. that nifty little contraption on the back of his jeep is really cool.
also.......it took less than 24 hours to get the new one in.....he must have waved his magical parts wand to make that happen.

Re: New Belt for the year
There are a few "crucial" parts that every serious Buell rider should have in his/her own personal stock and an extra belt is definately Number One on the list...An extra set of tires is Nr. 2 and a set or two of extra front brake pads is Nr. 3...
To this I could recommend an oil filter, one full fluid change, one headlight bulb and, if you really want to be a real boy scout - an extra clutch cable...
"Abracadabra" - you're invincable.

I know this...I was on vacation in Canada last year and met him when I visited his place of work while looking for canadian Buell-goodies - of which you people have absolutely nothing...
But, your belt WILL break when he is away on vacation, on jury duty, in the hospital, fired from there and working at CanTire, usw., usw., usw...
These parts I speak of should be already be in your own garage...
