Coming up really Quick

Coming up fairly soon is our 3rd annual CANDY run up to Hell's Gate Candy Run.

Just giving everyone the heads up that this event will be held on April 22nd or 29th. i know that this is a little early bit with everyones help i would like to see us break last years record of 70+ bikes.

i would like to see it over 100 !!!!!!!!!!!!!!!

I thought it was going to be in May???? I dout you'll get it to 100 if it's earily. Any possibility of polsponing it to May at some point.

I'm deffinatly out if its before May. I have to get my bike ready and it won't be ready until May.

Its been within a couple of weeks of the opening every year. like way said we have to figure out the details but it was april last year.

I was in April last year? Well as long as my tires aren't to bad then I might be in. I got a bunch of people to join me as well, maybe a dozen. Let me know when you have a definative answer.

its was may 1st and it was a sunday last year . this year will as well be a sunday and of course Hells Gate has to be open lol

Good point... SO Way my handle bars will be ok by the ride? I know your going to say yes but I thought I would ask anyways just to be sure. Whats the worst thing that could happen?

I'm working both days proposed so I may have to spend some personal days or some vacation days. April 15 or May 6 would work better for me.

i want to see as many buells as we can this year, if you cant make it there i can get you all stand in riders to bring them.......LOL

Dirty T, There making the craking noise here and there. I rode with them like that when you me and Way did the Kelowna ride last year. But They need some servicing just not sure what could happend if they don't have them done by the run. I already bought the replacement part for the bars.

i rode to kelowna and back on torched head bearings.

wasnt too bad, just as long as you get used to the clicking every time you touch the brakes its not too bad, its not like the front end is going to come off in your hands......

bit again, not a bad idea to get them done. only problem with doing them yourself is that they are a press fit bearing. not like the timken style used in the other 99 precent of bikes.

like everything else its special to be differant.

Are they cup and cone like the steering head bearings in /5 to /7 BMWs or are they ball bearings like the rear wheel bearings?

If they are cup and cone they are easy to get out. Just take the cone out and run a bead of weld around the inside of the outer race. When the weld shrinks the race will fall out. Be careful though. Don't weld them to the fork mount.
